Honestly, I don't think Ayer is too far off. The thing he said that stood out to me the most was the idea that the characters should have been allowed to breathe. That was my main sticking point with the film. I'm sure if Jared Leto had had more time to be the Joker instead of a weird, rushed, generic-ass crime boss, it would have made the movie tolerable. (Because the things the Joker does in the movie are very como se dice un-joker.)

I actually liked Luthor in Batman V. Superman, because he actually went for it when acting. He made a character and stuck to that character. Leto Joker always felt like Leto wasn't given the time or direction for him to come up with a consistent character. If he comes back in the sequel and doesn't act like he does things because the script tells him he has to do them, I might actually like the film.
