Remember the whole scandal a few months back when it turned out YouTubers promoting a CS:GO Lotto website turned out to own the website? That got them pulled in front of a judge and now the verdict is in.

nah, I don't really care that that's all they got. They probably knew what they were doing was exploitive and shady on some level, but I don't get the feeling that they knew just how bad or serious it was. Now they do. I seriously doubt they'll do it again after going through this mess. And now more people are aware of it as well, which I imagine is half the point.

Not every trial has to be some big punishment-fest. If the judge is satisfied that they learned their lesson, regret that they ever did it in the first place, and won't do it again, that's enough.

What?!  Someone in America ripped off consumers and got away with little to no punishment?!  NO FUCKING WAY!!!  Quick, someone get these guys a sports team so they can fuck some city out of millions for a stadium.  Or some stock to sell off quick before the nation realizes your joke of a security system let out all of their personal info.

I hope these assholes are taking a vacation in the Keys.

Such bullshit, they should face jail time. They never said they owned it till after they got caught. So they could manipulate all outcome basically steal people items and give them to friends for them to sell and make money or keep them to themselves be make cash.

PS. Nothing says a stern message of "STOP DOING ILLEGAL/IMMORAL SHIT", like a slap on the wrist.

EDIT: PPS. They both should've gone to jail tmartn especially being american, probably new what he was doing was illegal. I could see that not happening to Tom Cassell (TheSyndicateProject) being a British citizen and using ignorance of our laws as a defense (but not a good one), but the fucker left the US very shortly after this shit got out. How does that have 0 correlation with their site being exposed? seem like the fucker was fleeing before a judge issue a warrant and prohibit him from leaving the country till shit got sorted the fuck out.
