ok... i am genuanly confused by that "locks most desirable content behind the eververse store" bit... what the heck are people talking about? the only thing there is a cosmetic armor set for each class, some shaders (recolor your armor / weapons), ships (cosmetic only) sparrows (have a EXTREMELY small function in game but still mainly a slighter more shiny bike) and some alternate weapon skins...

how is any of that "the most desirable content" in the game? are shaders and loading screen visuals really more desirable than the strikes, raid, pvp, or pve maps? saying they lock anything of real meaning behind loot boxes is grossly exaggerating what is happening.

I like Bungie, I really do. But after what they seem to keep doing recently, I'm liking them less and less. It's rather dissapointing.

I find it interesting how often y'all use the phrase "[so] there's nothing wrong with that" when it comes to a video game business making money, despite that fact the the entire video is focused on pointing out how wrong their methods are. I'm pretty sure you're aware that the ends don't always justify the means, so i'm not sure why that phrase keeps popping up.

Also, nice term, "whale hunter". Did you just coin that term? Very apt. I like it.

I have curse of Osiris and i definitely think the game feels a bit empty. But i dont think it was a rip off. I dont think its completely worth the price its sold at but if it was sold for maybe 15$ instead it would be better. I dont know how i feel about them closing off certain content to non osiris player though. a lot of my mmo friends say its pretty normal for most mmos to do this so im kinda EH about it but then again destiny supposedly isnt an MMO.

Ultimately though the way bungie implements the infinite forest is really disappointing and really makes me feel like they dont know how to implement the forest to its full potential.

I say this constantly but i truly think they need to make this game more like diablo 3. Add a leveling system that is out side the whole power level system and introduce a system that works very similar to the paragon system in diablo 3. Call it light level BUT unlike the power level that caps at a certain number have no hard "cap" for the new "light level".By that i mean every time you level up you can upgrade one of 16 stats which will be broken into four sections with 4 stat upgrades a piece. Four stats for base stats, four stats regarding attacking enemies, 4 regarding defensive stats, and four for more world based stats. example base stat: max health, attack stat: reload speed, defensive stat: increase % resistance to elemental dmg, and world stat: increase distance at which chests appear on the mini map. each level you can only level up one set but by light lvl 4 you have one stat in each page. And have a soft cap at light lvl 800 but you can go up to light 2k if you want. But after 800 only 2 specific stats are leveled up people who hit 800 unlock specific capes/ cosmetics that only those who hit it can get. If you hit around 1000 you get another thing. Reward the grinders.

Once they do that add it so you can grind  the infinite forest for loot and stuff in which anyone can grind and enemies fluctuate to your dmg output. BUT also add a hardcore infinite forest where only specific gear AND there are things called  forest level the higher the level the higher your light and power level need to be. And add a new armor type : necklaces or rings. stuff that only drop from hardcore forests AND every time you beat a hardcore forst you can lvl up the necklace or ring up to a max level.

If anyone has played diablo 3 then you know the system i am basically stealing from but bungie honestly needs to do something like this or very similar to it. they need to stop saying destiny is not an RPG or nor is it an MMO and just start defining it. Cuz one of the biggest things i feel like this game is missing is stats. dps stats, health stats, weapon stats,. Stuff for number crunchers that look at the tiny details of their build and find tiny ways so they can do something slightly faster than another player .If more numbers and information to deal with scares away the less hardcore then honestly i think bungie needs to be okay with that. This game needs to start becoming very hardcore very soon. I get they want to be there for the casual player but bungies focus really should be on the hardcore of us .
