I'm looking forward to this game because I'll now get to play with my PC friends. When I started Destiny, it had divided my group since some had no intention to grab a console for it. Looking forward to this

I played all of 2 hours of Destiny 1, do I need to do homework or something to know what the hell is going on in Destiny 2?

Probably, yeah. Here's the short version off the top of my head.

You get a ship and a computer to pilot it. Go to the moon. Meet some crusty skeletal aliens called the hive. Find a sword. Robot lady voiced by Maggie from The Walking Dead shows up and says some cryptic stuff about some secret organization. Kill the dude who owned the sword in DLC by command of this emo drama queen named Eris. Go to Venus. Find time-travelling robots called Vex who are all time-cloned versions of the same one. Robot lady shows up again and says you need to kill the "Heart of the Black Garden" and then the famous "Don't have time to explain" line. You go to the Reef, a nebula outside our Solar System, where you find the Awoken, a clan of humans who mutated and started getting glowing eyes and blue hair and rad shit. The queen has a clan of Fallen as allies and her brother's an asshole who tells you to get a "Gate Lord's eye." You go to Mars and meet the Cabal, giant hulking aliens with an organized military and do some stuff there, kill the Vex gate lord and give the eye to queen's brother and he tells you how to open the black garden. You do and it's a section of Mars that exists outside time. The Vex are turning Mars and Venus into giant machines or spaceships or something. The Heart of the Black Garden is an actual pulsating black heart and you kill the three giant Vex guarding it and then the heart. Everyone celebrates.

The Queen's fallen turn against her and free an ancient Fallen leader named Skolas from her prison. He does some stuff and he has some pyromaniac minions. Eventually you catch him and get to submit him and other dudes to a life of endless death and rebirth in the queen's prison for some sweet loot.

Remember that hive that had a sword and then you killed him? Yeah, his dad shows up and kinda fucks up Saturn's rings. He wipes out half the queen's forces and probably her and her brother (Thank God) though that's left kind of ambiguous. Oryx, the hive daddy, pulls aliens from all factions into his personal alternate dimension and makes them quantum zombies, if you will. Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Eris, and the blue dude in the trailer do a bunch of stuff and give you Nathan Fillion's ship modified to do stealth stuff and you land on Oryx's ship. You do a bunch of stuff and then kill him, but he's not really dead. You kill his daughters and get him REALLY pissed and then kill him.

A pompous rich dude obsessed with gold and trees and wolves and a general House Stark vibe overall who runs multiplayer events is the last of an ancient organization of special gold-plated tree-and-wolf-obsessed Guardians. You find their temple but it's overrun with Fallen. Push them back. Reclaim the temple. A giant Fallen robot eye you killed in the first strike is back and infused with this Twizzlers virus that's spreading through Russia near the Tower and a bunch of other Fallen are too. You do some stuff and kill the giant robot again, then go deep underground to the vault where Lord Saladin (The House Stark Guardian)'s buddies died. They were stopping the Twizzlers plague. You find this vault and the three guardians are hanging from Twizzlers on the ceiling and you have to fight them but they too are pyromaniacs (Though you can't blame them being underground in Russia for like 50 years). I think that's all the basic plot points.

      But Destiny has no story.

It's totally obvious that them putting it on Battle.net and not steam is just a power move on steam.. Doesn't mean I won't get the game (If it's good)

wow, they're playing some real "business" games with with this game. I hope it doesn't hurt them in the end. I never really got into Destiny, but I like Bungie, so I wish them the best.

I'm just happy that its coming to PC I don't own a Xbox or PS4 so I missed out on the first one. I guess I have to find out what my Battle.net account is again; I haven't used it since Wings of Liberty came out 7(?) years ago.

just waiting on digital deluxe pre-order for PC. next to that, U understand the batle.net thing, sorry its not on steam, and I think it'll cut some people out of the fold, but honestly, I don't think it'll make too big of a difference. Honestly just stoked that it'll be on the PC. Lets hope they dont pull a D1 and just SAY it'll be on pc then all evidence will go poof that they ever claimed it :/
