I was looking forward to Battlefront II as it seemed to be fixing a lot of problems I had with the last one, but after this I'm going to wait until it's really cheap and not touch the multiplayer in it.

Wow, EA have some balls (possible the size of Texas) to come out and and talk back the the Internet with that kind of horse-shit... they might well do okay from those people who don't pay attention or who want to buy what they can only get from EA (who are very good at buying monopolies - qudos to them for being anti-competitive and getting away with it -> hey, Competition Commision; get your arse in gear!) but throwing that at the Internet and other more savy (i.e. younger) people is asking to put a time limit on your brand as their reputation goes from tattered to tatters and they might as well be pouring petrol (gas) on a large fire at the same time... no one ever won a fight against the Internet by goading them and certainly not a corporation (hope your software is up-to-date, especially the security stuff *sigh* idiots).

"Fresh Corporate-Speak." I looked that up and the Internet says that the proper term for that is "Fresh Bullshit".

So... everything people were saying about EA is true and EA simply confirmed it with happy-sounding words?

EA (paraphrase): "We don't flippantly close studios."

I always state: "Look at the actions, not the words." Strange how we shouldn't trust politicians has intersected with EA.

EA is out of touch with players, but players will still buy it because they have no choice. I get the feeling that Lucas made a bad deal with EA and that Disney's locked into the same deal with their hands tied. Kennedy said she liked what she saw in the previous "gritty" Star Wars 1313 that was cancelled with the purchase of LucasArts - she called it "gold". I think she'd be unhappy with the destruction of Ragtag, but I doubt she could say anything if that were true - her silence is curious.
