Nintendo is just like one of those guys in a long trench-coat, in an alley, hoarding all that nostalgia cuz where else you gonna go to get ya fix.

Nintendo: Yous gotta starve ya customer base, see, but let the juice loose in some areas, my friend. Then dat'll get da people to rise, outta der seats, oh yeah -  first release some classic consoles for a limited time. Dats the key, the kicker, the whole greasy enchilada - limited time. Then yous giv'em somein new dat deys didn't know dey wanted - like this Switch. Now yous test the market for the nostalgia again in some places across the world, let da word spread, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.

I bet they'll release the VC when sales for the other major consoles (PS4, Switch, Xbox) start to die down.

There has got to be some sort of technical glitch preventing them from putting the VC on the switch. Any computer-y people with any ideas?

My theory is that since they are releasing "classic" consoles (NES Classic and SNES so far, with N64 to come in the next year or two I'm sure) Nintendo would be competing with itself and selling less of those units if they released all of the most popular games on those platforms as digital for the Switch.

This is why I haven't bought into the Switch, yet. The stuff that will garner enough interest from me to invest in it and its games is being held off for uncertain reasons - though, I lean towards the whole "you get our chip but you put things on our Shield" conspiracy as a reason.

Jon turned bright red in the outtake.

We bought it day one and spent about a grand all together since then.  It now lives in the bedroom hooked up to one of the 3 computer monitors so we can play it in bed.  Theres lots of fun little games on it and I plan on buying Doom.  Also, the games are priced VERY well.  Expect to get a silly little game if you pay 3$ and many hours of fun for the higher priced ones.  I still need to play Zelda (have season pass) but my friend has put well over 100 hours into it.  I had to coax her back into playing because she ran off into the sunset and found monsters too high of level for her.  From what I've seen all those games 'held off' have already been released.  Its an AMAZING tablet.  Very responsive and the controllers last SO LONG.  I'm personally a computer person but very impressed with this handheld.
