Game News: FEWER GAMES for Ubisoft! All in on Microtransactions!

According to a new investor briefing, Ubisoft is going to start releasing fewer games and capitalizing on post-launch monetization of consumers. That's an investor-friendly way of saying "we're going to chuck tons of microtransactions in these games because they make us SO MUCH MONEY." So... RIP Beyond Good & Evil 2 and UbiArt games, apparently.

I'm not really a fan of any particular ubisoft series, but even if I were, I wouldn't be particularly upset. There are so many new games coming out these days for it to matter. I'd be happy about it giving me time to get to my backlog of older games if it affected me.

I'm not too upset about less games being made considering right now I do not have the time to play all the games that are releasing. I seem to keep getting further and further behind as more and more games are released before I am able to finish the games I am already playing. Maybe by game developers making less games, the market will become less over saturated, allowing devs to make more per game as players are not preoccupied with an excessive amount of other games.
