XBOX: Next-Gen? No-Gen? on PlayStation? ALL OF THE ABOVE?

Game News: XBOX: Next-Gen? No-Gen? on PlayStation? ALL OF THE ABOVE?

Will Xbox have next-gen hardware? Will it go streaming instead? Will games appear on non-Microsoft platforms like PlayStation? Maybe all of the above! Confusing, maybe, but Xbox sure is doing a lot of talking.

I still find it facinating how much they go on about their "genless" consol gimmick and then ONLY talk about backwards compatibility, as if that alone is a new, unique thing. It'll only be "genless" if it's both backwards compatible AND forwards compatible with games that will come out several years from now in what would normally be considered the "next" gen. But there's no way they'll every commit to forwards compatibility, because they know the Xbone's gonna play the big name games like garbage a decade from now, if at all.

Don't get me wrong though, I actually do have great appreciation for their commitment to backawards compatibility. It's a good thing. But call it what it is.
