Game News: Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the BEST GAME EVER?

Had to stop watching after a couple minutes. I'm sure ya'll just didn't consider some of the things you said to be spoilers, but they were to me.

if you find there are spoilers in this video, then you should stop watching anything with Zelda in the title. At some point you have only yourself to blame, content creators can only go so far. Loosen up on your definition of spoilers or stop watching content at release.

Watching this video made me wonder - is every reviewer of this game blinded by nostalgia goggles? As you guys said, most people played "Zelda" when they were kids, so I'm assuming that any new entry in the series gains at least one point in eyes of those reviewers just because it's Legend Of Zelda. I didn't play Nintendo games when I was a kid and Breath Of The Wild doesn't look any more interesting than any other action/platform-adventure game so all the high scores are just baffling to me.

Well I don't have much experience with Zelda games(so I can't be blinded with nostalgia goggles) as the only one I have ever played is A Link Between Worlds, but from my experience from that game alone Zelda games are stupid good. I am sure for some people just salivate because its Zelda but at the same time, there is no way these games don't consistently get put in the top games of all time for no reason either. I am sure someone else who has actually played Breath of the Wild can give you a better answer. A lot of people are going to be playing it as it is being released tonight at midnight and you will see a general consensus of it eventually.

I felt some bias towards the game series from this video as well, as most, if not all reviewers mentioned seemed to be fans or at least familiar with the franchise. I'm not saying that it's not a great game, I'm just wondering if people unfamiliar with the franchise would consider it as the Best game of this generation.

Keep in mind that Nintendo doesn't have such a presence all around the world as it does in the USA (assuming most reviewers mentioned here are from the same country), for example in most of Eastern Europe consoles in general were almost nonexistent until around 2006 and they're still a minority compared to the PC. As an example, out of all my friends, acquaintances and people I personally know, only 6 have ever owned a console (2 Wii's, 1 PS2, 1 PS3, 1 PS4 and 1 Xbox 360 respectively), and those 2 Wii owners barely used the console, mostly playing Wii Sports. The Xbox wasn't even released officially in some countries of this area. I bought an Xbox 360 in 2010 just to play Halo since I was afraid Microsoft would never release another Halo game for the PC. And I've known, even recently, people that are still playing Halo CE and Halo 2 on PC hoping for Halo 3 to come out for the PC.

But maybe it's irrelevant to this discussion, so I apologize for wasting your time reading this comment.

Hey this is Brian from The Know. I think there's some truth to what you're saying -- established franchises like Zelda and GTA seem to get a bump from reviewers because they have a record of quality games. It's hard to imagine a brand-new IP like Horizon Zero Dawn getting a 98. At the same time, it's pretty clear that it's a good game. Anyway, just my $.02 from reading a bunch of reviews in researching this story.
