Digital might be the way of it for the USA (assuming that the failure of net neutrality doesn't really screw up USAian internet) but there are a lot of places in the world that are large enough markets with bad internet or at least unreliable infrastructure that physical will be here for a while longer - particularly if Nintendo has anything to say about it... which it most certainly does! ;)

I mostly buy physical copies of games, and don't plan to stop so long as they're available. Even so, I haven't been to a Game Stop or other game store in several years since I just order the things I want on Amazon. No pants AND physical copies, best of both worlds.

With supposedly being 93% of game sales being digital by 2021 I bet we will still have shitty internet.

Wonder if net neutrality will still exist?  I hope so.

If net neutrality really does slide then the physical games sellers will have the last laugh as you trudge to their bricks and mortar stores and pay more for your games so you don't have to double pay for them on your broadband package!
