Casting portion ran a little long for me. Pitch Please wasn't awful, but I just kept thinking back to the NPR News Quiz (yes I know) on Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me where three stories are told by one person on the show and only one of them is true, a radio listener has to guess which one is true. Maybe model it off of that?

As far as the cloning for the rhino, best cloning technology right now is only 13% successful, so that would be really expensive.

I'd love a bigger focus on indie games. I really really liked the patch game club. I helped me find a lot of my favorite games. I'd love to see another version of that. I mean, we see AAA games stuff literally everywhere. I liked the casting thing, but it was slightly too long for my taste. Pitch Please was a lot of fun. I'd love to see more indie stuff.

You guys where right in a way. It is kinda dumb to have so many video game focused shows like the dude soup podcast, off topic podcast, try hard podcast and sometimes even the RT podcast.

However the patch was the only one that was fully about the games themselves. Because dude soup focuses doesn't focus on the games but on everything surrounding them like the development, the controversy... some sort of "meta gaming podcast". Off topic really doesn't cover video games very deeply or often. Try hard is likes to cover the same games over and over. The RT podcast just sporadically talks about them. The know really had the only game centric podcast in RT I think.

Lastly, take that criticism with a grain of salt. I just tell you what I like and you guys should make something that you like. That is what I love about RT. People with similar interests who talk and do things they love. As long as you all continue doing that, I'll stay subscribed.

    Lots of love :D

Casting process took too long, I love hearing about indie games, I want to hear lists of games for certain things. Best rated, personal choices and games that clearly were trying to be a different game!

Reina, you're lovely. I miss you.

WHY CAN'T YOU GET MEG ON FOR ONE SEGMENT!?! (You guys promised she'd come in here and there to help and nuffink. Nuffink at all!)

Overall, I'd really love to see some AH guys join the cast on a more regular basis, they're the ones who are playing a lot of these games! ((Ryan is top but I would love to see Jeremy too. He's good at talking. Just don't give him alcohol!))

I liked the indie game spotlight, I think that should be called Pitch Please since you are trying to pitch it to the viewers.

The actual pitch please segment and dream casting segments while cool and fun I feel were kind of thrown in just to fill time. The dream cast segment I feel went on to long, and its something that wouldn't be done to often because; how many video game movies are there that would be coming out? As someone who is in filmmaking and watches more movies than video games I feel it wasn't a strong segment for this podcast.

The actual Pitch Please segment as I said was cool and fun, but felt like it was thrown in just as filler. If it is a segment that you plan on using in the future might I suggest that; 1) Make it maybe a once a month type thing as hearing all these pitches can get very old, very quick; and 2) If you want to put a time limit on something, this should be it. Make the pitch 1-2 minutes, and the others hold questions/comments until the end and they get 2 minutes to ask questions ect. A quick and easy filler segment that last 9-12 minutes total and could be used for a slow show.

Other comments seemed to really like the pitch segment and not like the movie casting segment, but to be honest I found myself reversed. As someone who played halfway through Witcher III before life caught up, I found the thoughts on which actors had personalities or personas that were complementary to the characters to be insightful and interesting. On the other hand, the pitch segment seemed like an On The Spot game, but without the set timeframe and presupposition of ridiculousness that makes segments like that work for an improv show. Just my opinion, take it as you will!

I know you guys look at the comments on this, so here's my two cents on the release window. I'm more likely to watch The Patch (and now Glitch Please) if it's timely, and Friday/Saturday release dates are less likely to be watched right away (by me at least). I'll watch it when I can anyway, but if you release it on a Tuesday or Wednesday, I'm more likely to watch it religiously

I definitely like that you guys are finding more structured segments for the show. The best part of The Patch was the free form discussion and silly tangents, but it did devolve into hour long dirges occasionally. Structured segments that encourage those discussions are exactly what this show needs.

I really liked Pitch Please, but I think it needs to be kept short, and it works best if everyone comes prepared. That being said, I think it serves as a great ice breaker segment, especially if you have a guest on who the general audience maybe less familiar with. If you could find something of a similar variety that also introduces us to the casts gaming tastes and history, it would allow you to pull them out for episodes with guests, or slow news weeks, and you can skip them when its just core TK cast.

I think the Cast a Movie segment got a little tangential. It relied a little too heavily on Google to work, and slowed down the pace in the middle of the show. I don't know how repeatable it will be either, since it requires both good movie knowledge, as well as an appreciation of the property. That being said, it could be fun to do something like 'adapt a game' where you talk about how you would adapt a property to a movie, maybe even trying to adapt it badly? I think the idea needs tweaking to really make it mesh with the show.

I really liked both the indie section and the new format for the news section. Keeping the news till the end gives it the gravitas that the gaming news podcast deserves, and helps separate from the other RT podcasts. I think that the indie section should be spaced out, so that your well of indie experience doesn't run out too fast. Maybe every month, like the old game book club?

The show is definitely starting to feel more steady from the first two pilots. I'm looking forward to the future segments as you guys show them off.

    Ok on to my suggestions/critiques:

Pitch Please, I liked it. It was fun and it brought up some interesting conversations between the three of you. I checked the forum post and realized there weren't a lot of responses for ideas so I am concerned that it may fall by the wayside though. Maybe if it is slow going n ideas, try to get RT members to come up with things.

Cast a Movie: It held my attention for a little bit but eventually I just skipped ahead. Granted not everything will be for everyone. I just don't see it going over well if you do live episodes with that. Prerecorded isn't that bad though due to the aforementioned skipping. Maybe limit it to one or two characters for a movie?

Indie Game Loving: I like it, there are so many games out there and it's nice to get a bit of information about ones I probably have never heard of.

Speed Run News (Now with 100% less countdown clock): I like you throwing in a few tidbits of non-gaming news. I do feel like it should be tech related though like you had it. It made a lot of sense to get rid of the clock. I kept staring at it when it reached zero. Ya did a great Jorb!

I think this episode is a perfect example of why they do pilot/beta episodes. Speedrun the News and Indie Spotlight were good and for the show. I feel with Filmhaus and Enjoy The Show there's no reason for Casting Couch to go that long, especially with two of the three host with seemingly little to no interest in The Witcher. I'm not sure if the segments are picked before the hosts but there seemed to be a major miscue here.

I prefer the way The Patch was run. Just a simple gaming podcast. Talk about games and a bit of some news. Maybe have a special, alternating segment at the end?

I disagree, to a point. I think everything they are doing with the news is better than how they handled it in The Patch, but I think they should do the news at the top of the show and then get into the weeds with the news as much as they want, followed by segments. I think the segments are important to prevent hour-long discussions on some tiny detail of gameplay or tech specs, but having them at the top of the show stops insightful discussion on the news because they run out of time

I prefer more game discussion. Game news, currently playing, upcoming games, etc. Save hypothetical discussions for game casting or developer/IP dream scenarios if there is a dry spell. Either way I am glad to see some form of The Patch return

It would kinda be weird to see Anthony Hopkins bestowing knowledge on Mads Mickelson. At that point you're just casting a Hannibal mashup.

Good overall episode, although I feel the Casting Couch segment is a bit out of place here. I understand that it is in regards to a Video Game Movie, but I feel this show should be more focused on the goings on in the Video Game world. If it is a segment that is revisited from time to time, maybe shorten it a bit.

The Pitch Please segment was fun and Reina was a great choice for a guest. Loved her here and on Fan Service.

While I myself am not really big into indie games, there are some real gems out there. Of course, Shovel Knight is one of my favorite games in recent years, but as for overlooked ones I have a pair I feel are worth checking out.

First is a rhythm game called Tadpole Treble which has simple but sometimes challenging gameplay depending on what you want out of it. If you are familiar with the webcomic Brawl in the Family, the creator was involved in the development. The music, being the focus of the game, is wonderful with some standout tracks being "Thunder Creek", "ELE-94" and "Chiptune Lagoon."

The second game is Nefarious, a platformer that turns the normal "Villain kidnaps Princess, Hero stops Villain and rescues Princess" on its head by having you play as the bad guy. The levels are well designed and the cast of characters is robust and likeable. My favorite aspect is the Reverse Boss Battles in which you get to pilot the death machines and stop the hero.

Honestly these new segments were great! Pitch Please was fun to see people quickly design games (also could potentially give ideas for RT Games), the Casting Couch was a fun little thing to do (I mean who hasn't thought about casting a video game movie), and the Indie Game Spotlight introduced me to new games I might want to try (I am always looking for new games and Owl Boy looks awesome!) Overall, I think these segments would be awesome to have, especially on slow news weeks.

I am liking this podcast so far, i missed a gaming focused podcast from RT. I enjoyed the casting couch section even having never played a witcher game, could see it getting old if it happens every episode though. I love the changes to the news section with no timer, great change. I'm not entirely sure its great yet though, there is room for improvement but it is improving so looks good.

had another thought, the indie focus on this episode was cool! I like hearing about the big AAA titles and such as much as the next guy but hearing about smaller games coming out or ones that the cast love and why they love them is a great. I know it's not supposed to be like the patch much but i enjoyed hearing on what people were playing and what they thought of it, maybe have a segment about games the cast has been playing, whether a new release or one they missed when it came out.

The opening reminded me of something -- Facebook and their weird surveys: My sis linked one about which Starbucks' drink is for you. I answered it, and it stated that I was a Frappuccino. It said that I didn't like coffee but I liked ice cream. For once, I think one of those weird surveys was accurate. ("An ocean of fish and one's bound to have gems in its mouth.")

I want all their pitched games, but I'm already spoiled. Yet, they all set up for sequels so I still want the games, spoiler or not, just for the sequels.

I would never be involved in a Witcher movie if Geralt is involved as a major character. Ask 100 players what they think Geralt is like and you'll get 100 different answers. No single portrayal is going to match the player's experience (non-interactive aside), and that's what they'll want going into the theater -- their experience. Yet, how would you have a Witcher movie without Geralt? The world of that IP is much larger than just Gerault. There are more than one Witcher, but why even focus on any Witcher anyway? ...unless you insist that the title must include Witcher, but I would even consider using a name without Witcher in the title. Throw Witcher in the title and people will want Geralt... their Geralt.

(For example, my Geralt was less broody and took every opportunity to be sarcastic and, when possible, silly. Imagine Geralt in a dress prank calling a sorcerer. That actually happened in my game. I'll leave you to figure out which game and how to make that happen. Would you cast someone who'd exemplify that or go broody?)

Add to it that I really don't wanna cast someone who's going to have to be nekkid on camera. (It seems that the games throws boobs and butts [and a lot more] in your face early in the game.)

As for the show, disembodied voices need a visual representation when involved in the conversation, if not the actual speaker, some gag representative of the speaker which could be "a thing" specific to this show. (Maybe use Adobe Character Animator CC live or one of them other live animation apps?)

Witcher movie: I like Mads as Geralt. And kate as yen i can see working but  Eva Green i definitely think would be better. But either actress is a great choice. I think jessica chastain would be great for triss just because i think based on what ive seen her do she definitely seems to have the skill to play a triss. Idk who the red head is that they recommended. Hopkins would be a great vesemer. I liked this episode and coming up with the cast for a hypothetical witcher movie was definitely fun BUT i think it was a bit long. It was fun but i feel like what should make up the most time with this show should be about current gaming news or something like that. I can see this pick actors for hypothetical movies being a segment in jons movie show. The rest of the show i thought was great.
