PC has had optional 4k updates for a minute, all new ubisoft games do, and they're all like 20 gigs why the hell is everything impossibly big on console? Most of the people I know that have consoles also have like 1 MB down so I don't think it's even legitimately possible for them to download one of these updates.

Not interested in CoD at all... never have been since it got a reputation (well earned from what I can tell) for little kids "rebelling" by swearing and whining all over multiplayer... if you can't take your lumps learn to be the best.

Take 2 saying that they are going to have monetisation in every game suggests that they are going for that wholesale... which if they are ahead of the curve may well be the best business decision in the short and medium term but I think those that don't go at all in that direction will do better in the long term by maintaining a better rapport with the market in general and making money from all of those who are left behind by those publishers ignoring so large a part of their player base (because there is little doubt in my mind that in PC and console there are (as with mobile) a few whales and many little or nothing people... there may be a few more medium ground people but the majority of the market is not interested in paying much more for their games).

I buy physical games over digital downloads simply because it's not cost effective in the UK to buy the digital version. I don't know what it's like in the US but here a game from the PSN store can be between £10-£20 more expensive than a disc version and for the life of me I can't figure out why.

100% Agree. I'd rather sleep than save the world. At least I won't know the world is ending.

In regards to the Sonic discussion, this is pretty similar to the debate in the Halo community... some people like the changes to movement and sandbox, but a ton of people despise the changes and its very divisive. It's a weird place to be in, but we're in it nonetheless

Patches for X1X games are huge because they probably contain higher res textures, something PS4 Pro games should have as well...

Regarding GT Sport, I believe it is the same framerate as Forza 7 (60 fps), however GT S has a different FOV and it feels as if you were going slower. Digital Foundry did a very comprehensive technical comparison between the two.

Weren't there Fire Emblem games in the past where the characters had children that became usable characters before Awakening?
