The next Fantastic Beasts movie has been unveiled and Dumbledore's looking pretty hot these days. Kickstarter is taking on Patreon with monthly subscriptions and a feature that might give it the edge it needs.

I'm not sure why you guys still expect to see FF VII RE when SE said back in May (or even March?) that they wouldn't be showing FF VII RE in 2017. There's no chance that the game will release before 2019 anyway, so there's really nothing to look forward to trailer-wise as that's just wasted energy on hyping something that is years away, sitting in another development hell (a 3rd party studio was working on the game initially and SE didn't like their results so they scrapped most of their work this year and started doing it in-house).

Let's see: EA puts something in the game that they're betting on players not wanting to play and that players will pay for the mere chance to skip that part.

What I'm reading is: "Players can be punished for not choosing to gamble away their money."

I'm still siding with calling it gambling if you hit people with a stick for not doing it.

any loot box relies on chance to get the item that you want and in that regards is in fact gambling. However, in the game play aspect of Battlefront 2 having no star cards does not mean you can never win. Having fully modded cards yes does give you an advantage but by no means makes you invincible to those lesser geared than you. I have defeated many opponents that have many upgraded cards while I have none on the class I was playing.
