X-Men is in a lot of trouble. The franchise is losing Hugh Jackman. Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender may not be returning. FOX is planning to reconfigure the movies... again. Is it time to follow Sony's footsteps and work with Marvel to bring the X-Men to the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Dear god please don't go to marvel. As much as I'd love to see Groot mean Jean Grey and the X-Men kick the shit out of the Avengers, I really don't want to see X-Men follow the same trend as every marvel film. I'd rather they stick by themselves and potentially flop than see more formulaic marvel films.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Xmen is the oldest superhero movie universe still going. Since it started, Superman was wrapped up and rebooted, Batman was restarted twice, Spiderman was wrapped up and rebooted twice, The Hulk was rebooted twice... Xmen is a remnant of a bygone era of superhero movies.

I would be all for xmen going to marvel as long as disney does no ruin them by making too kid friendly, i like what they did in civil war but it wasn't gritty enough for me, close but not quite there. and i know that disney could never pull a deadpool movie because it would be too graphic for a disney audience

What about the Netflix series? Those show that Disney is conferrable putting out things that aren't family friendly. Granted they probably don't think those get as much attention, but it still shows they're willing to do things with this franchise that is outside of their normal scope.

I would be all for Fox and Marvel Studios working something out...as long as Mcavoy and Fassbender return at some point even if its not an every movie thing. They have been the carrying those movies heavily and are both among some of the better actors alive (Fassbender may even be the best actor alive imo) If they have to get Jennifer Lawrence (who is a pretty good actress, just never fit the mystique character) they'll figure it out.

From what I remember, Singer didn't get axed from X-3, he left to do Superman Returns and took Cyclops with him, which is why he was killed off in 3. Still, based on DoFP and Apocalypse, they should give up completely. To quote Burnie, that timeline is fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuked.

If Spider-Man Homecoming does well it might be a good sign. So let's hope it does well for another reason because I want Storm to appear in a Black Panther movie and Wolverine to join the Avengers.
