Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare ALREADY A FAILURE?

Game News: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare ALREADY A FAILURE?

Early sales figures are in for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and it looks like the game's not doing so well. Of course, not doing so well for a Call of Duty game still means a bajillion copies, but take your wins where you can, haters.

Eh I'm with jon in the opinion that everything should be digital BUT I get not everyone has good internet. I don't even have good internet but since I'm PC ive been forced down the digital rabbit hole So I guess I'm just used to setting the download of the game before I leave for school or w.e. And honestly I'm not surprised the game is doing poorly in sales. Throwing out the same game year after year after year it  starts to get old. Even ubisoft learned this lesson .BUT they still sell stupid amount of  copies so a bad year for them is a good year for everyone else. Its like with WOW only having 6 million users at their low point. Most MMOs would love to have 6 million users even for just one day.

If I can go physical and get a disc I can.  Ashley is right.  My main reason, internet speeds.  We all don't have Gigabit or 300mbps download speeds.  I will take a while to download a game that size.  They say seeing is believing, so if what to come to Kingston I can show you.

For all the COD hate.  I'm been told by many people "Just play Titanfall 2.  It is the best game nobody is playing."

I just bought titan fall 2 and yeah its actually really fun. The story was actually really good in my opinion. It was semi cookie cutter but the level design is really really good. I really haven't played a cod since black ops 2 so take my opinion with a giant grain of salt. But if you want an MP game I would definitely go Titanfall 2.

College students Jon, college students have slow as fuck internet. i'm lucky my camps internet is good enough to watch the podcasts RT does live with little lag. Besides, hard copies of games mean you know for a fact that the game is yours and the company cannot just revoke your ability to use it. Also it is nice to see all the games stacked up next to each other.

Jon: More than half the people in the world don't have good enough internet that 120GB is an easy download... never mind if that download has to come from USAian or Japanese servers - yes, I know they'll probably mirror but only into major markets... and since those places are not major digital markets then it'll likely not get mirrored there until they want to really make a marketing push for going digital.

Then again the USA is not great at internet when it comes to it - South Korea started only laying 1Gb cabling a decade ago and Japan has had 100Mb connections for almost two decades (which is aeons by internet standards!) The USA even trailed the UK until Google started shaking things up and we still have the old monopoly (BT - British Telecom) running most of the system (baring Virgin Media - the only, and very limited geographically, cable company in the UK), even the regulator can't bring it to heel. *sigh*

To be honest even 120GB would take about 28 hours non-stop (and non-slowdown) to download on a normal UK connection (that also assumes the sending server can keep up which they generally don't when most people want it because over-provisioning is reallly, really expensive.

Activision be like "Call of Duty is still the biggest multiplayer-focused first-person sci-fi shooter that includes a remastered edition of a 2007 game in a similar but different timeline in a special edition in November 2016 so far. Therefore, we're successful."
