Game News: Fallout New Orleans?
A trademark just hit the tubes for Fallout New Orleans. Could we be playing a new Fallout game where we flash people for beads? Let's hope!

Guys, I didn't watch this video, but I'm very offended. You released this video right after the levee in Louisiana broke? How insensitive. I don't need to know your intentions, I know that they're bad. You obviously intended to compare the tragedy in Louisiana to the post apocalyptic wasteland of the Fallout series.

By the sweet radiating light of Atom let this rumor be true, New Orleans would be a perfect setting for a spin-off title. Obsidian did an amazing job with New Vegas, regardless of the bugs it is by far still one of my favourite games so if they're developing this it will be another great addition to the series.

New Vegas will always feel better to me than Bethesda's rendition. It has so many throwbacks and relations to 1 & 2, and overall had better story choices than 3 and even 4 to some degree. Bugs and glitches are notorious for Bethesda games, and it's hardly surprising that New Vegas had similar issues since it was built on the same engine.
Bethesda do open world exploration and action well, but not storytelling.

Given the future setting, it might not be the original city, like New Vegas. It might be New New Orleans.
And fuck you Gus (I love you), FFVII and VIII are both great.

I fall into that camp of loving Fallout: New Vegas more than Fallout 3. To this day, Fallout New Vegas is my favorite game of all time. It had (has) bugs that can hurt a game, but if those are avoided that game is super good. Granted, Fallout 3's environment was better, feeling more apocalyptic and more iconic, but New Vegas' environment was still awesome. Also, the side stories were better imho, I actually really cared about companions, and the way factions were handled was incredible. Also, iron sights, weapon mods, and being able to not help the Brotherhood were all huge plusses in my book

Idk if this is "The Know" news worthy. But Dell in Austin is openly hiring for positions in a next gen gaming department. I think it may be worth a deeper look. Sorry but I'm unsure as to where else to post this.

I just hope the next Fallout game addresses the flaws of Fallout 4. It was a good game overall, but was seriously lacking when it came to side quests and content for those who didn't want to do settlement building. The main issue with it in my opinion is the lack of player choice, as dialogue seemed to always go the same direction no matter what it said. That and the voiced protagonist took away the RP element of the game, in my opinion at least.

all i hope is that the next Fallout will actually be an RPG. that being said for some reason New Orleans just makes me think its a rip off of the Simpsons spin-off Chief Wiggum P.I.

Nick Valentine: Ah, New Orleans. The Big Easy. Sweet Lady Gumbo. Old... Swampy.
Lone Wanderer: i still don't understand Valentine, why give up your job in diamond city to set up a detective shop in New Orleans?
Nick Valentine: Oh lots or reasons i suppose, got kicked out for being a synth for one thing..
Lone Wanderer: and massive corruption..
Nick Valentine: (cutting wanderer off) for massive corruption. Exactly.
man these game wright themselves.

i absolutely think it's bullshit that Bethesda's stopping with only 2 major story DLCs. It feels extremely disappointing especially since New Vegas and F3 were given much more DLCs, all given lots of effort and were such quality and great expansions.
Those Workshop DLCs don't count as major DLCs at all, and if Bethesda ever says "oh well we gave Fallout 4 seven whole DLCs" shit shall be flipped when in reality they gave F4 2 DLCs, and 5 Lego box sets.
I love crafting and building, but I love Fallout expansions and their intriguing stories far more. Far Harbor was great, but I wouldn't count Automatron as a major DLC, since it really was there for robot building (Workshop thing), and the story was only like and hour long with no real side content. Fallout 3's Broken Steel, The Pitt, and Point Lookout were amazing. New Vegas's Dead Money, Old World Blues, and of course Lonesome Road were absolutely fantastic.
I hope Bethesda doesn't fall into a cycle of 2 story DLCs forever, but with Skyrim and Fallout 4, things arelooking grim for Bethesda major expansions.

Man, Grand Theft Bogota. It would have just been an expanded version of GTA3, except you would go everywhere in the city centre by walking or biking, because it's faster than taking a car. Although, would loved to see the Santa Fe Shopping centre in a video game.
