Mass Effect: Andromeda NEW N7 DAY DETAILS

Game News: Mass Effect: Andromeda NEW N7 DAY DETAILS

It's N7 Day, and that means BioWare's finally talking about Mass Effect Andromeda. They're not giving us everything we want, but we have plenty of new details to chew on. Game versions, betas, loyalty missions, backwards compatibility for the originals, pretty views of space.... hold on to your butts! We're going in.

There is actually a tiny moment of gameplay toward the end, where we see the camera set behind the protagonist, watching a large metallic worm-thing write around in the background. According to Game Informer, that's a real fight that happens in game.

There's also a 5th Ark, called the Nexus, which is effectively a command hub, bigger than the other four Arks. So while there will be predominantly council races, don't rule out the chance of getting a smattering of others on the voyage.

I'd also like to mention that signing up to the Andromeda Initiative will not guarantee a place in the multiplayer beta (at least that hasn't been stated anywhere I can find). Signing up will get you the newsletter to keep you informed. Completion of the initiative (which appears to be watching six short videos once they are released) will net you a helmet in-game. To apply for the multiplayer tech-test (which I assume is the beta), you must sign up at Bioware Beacon, and fill out a survey. They then 'may' pick you for the beta.
