No Man's Sky MAJOR UPDATE: It's GOOD Now!?

Game News: No Man's Sky MAJOR UPDATE: It's GOOD Now!?

Praise the Atlas or whatever. No Man's Sky has received its first major update, the Foundation update, and... well, it's buggy, but aside from that it actually adds a lot to the game. This occasion is momentous enough that even Sean Murray dusted off his Twitter to speak words again. Is it enough to make good for gamers or is it too late for that?

If only they had been allowed to release the game what, 4 months later? This would have been a lot more solid of a release. Sad thing is, it's not all that impressive considering most games like it have these features or similar at launch or in early beta.

ithink Adam said it best on the patch when No Mans Sky came out amd that was I cant wait to see this game in a year. seriously though all they need now is multiplayer like they said and the faction war thing as well as giant desert monsters and I'm happy with No Mans Sky another good game to chill and fuck around with friends in

The space freighter is the only thing that makes sense but isn't enough for me to re-install the game.  I guess I just don't see the point in building bases on planets that I'm never going to return to.  I only have a handful of hours logged in this game but from what I remember the whole point was to just land on a planet and gather enough resources to keep making jumps to the center of the universe.  Why build a base that you will never see again?  Am I missing something here?

you are, in fact. they said there are teleporters in all space stations that allow you to go to your home base and back whenever you want.

I stand corrected then.  That might be enough for me to give it another try.  But I don't know since Skyrim remastered is out, which I want to 100%.  I've also been back in Fallout 4 trying to 100% that as well.  Of course Final Fantasy 15 just came out today so they just got thrown on the back burner and now I'm balls deep in that for the foreseeable future.  Maybe after all that is said and done but I doubt it.

Risinger with the sweet burn. Also is motion blur a thing people wanted? That's such an awful feature in every game I've ever seen it in.

Ever since Motion Blur started coming out in video games I always turn it off, its just a cheap mechanic to hide bad quality textures that don't load fast enough for a fast moving game.

If you have a good enough computer/system to load the textures a game can look gorgeous with it turned off and horrible with it turned on

I know what you mean. The motion blur in the Thief reboot made me feel a little ill and the one in Gears of War Judgement made my head hurt.
