MUST-HAVE GAMES for SNES Classic Edition

Specials: MUST-HAVE GAMES for SNES Classic Edition

You could say the NES Classic Edition has been a success... it's outsold the Wii U by an order of magnitude, it was the Christmas gift no one could get this year... it's not much of a stretch to imagine an SNES is on the way too. Here are the top games we want to see on that system.

I never noticed until now with all three of them on at the same time, but Ashley's script reading abilities totally kick Gus and Burnie's asses.

Love this anything SNES is amazing, it's what I grew up on will buy a SNES classic in a heartbeat if I can. Couple of other games I'd have thrown in maybe some star wars, lion king, aladin, and a few others but overall a pretty encompassing list. Also yes Legend of Zelda A Link To The Past is HANDS DOWN THE BEST ZELDA! There is no denying it!!!!  gus

Mario Paint, while not exactly a 'game', is still one of my favorite SNES titles. Tetris Attack is also a terrific game.

I'd add Gradius III and Axelay to the list.   I'd definitely want FZero to be on there.  A new FZero game on the Switch would be a big selling point for me.

I totally agree ff3, a link to the past and secret of mana all need to be on there. It would never happen but one of my all time favorite SNES games is the sequel to secret of mana also on the SNES but never released in north america. Its called Seiken Densetsu 3 and like so many of the great sequels on SNES it took what made SOM amazing and took it to a whole new much more amazing level. It had a multiple starting character with all of thier own regions and seperate story lines that weave together with the other starting characters. A class system in which each charatcer has a class like ninja or knight etc and through gameplay and lvling your class would change giving you different classes branching off your current one all with different more powerful skills and spells. Not to mention the story itself was just stupendous. So much replayability seeing as there is 6 different main stories with multpile endings for each and also your two comapanions (two of the 6 main starting characters chosen as secondary after you pick your primary character) have thier own stories and depending on who you pick for your main character those stories change too. In my opinion it was the best SNES game i had ever played even after putting hundreds of hours into other rpgs like FF3 and Chronotrigger. I would love to have Seiken Densetsu 3 on a north american console. I would buy it just for that game.

Not bad, though I would have preferred they actually try to make a well-rounded list of 30 games, like the NES Classic, and justify their inclusions.

Instead this is the 'no fanboy left behind' list of basically every S-tier game on the console.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great list of great games.  I would know, since I already own every game mentioned in the video.

Just want to point out "one of the best, bar none" is a huge oxymoron

I never owned an SNES, but this list makes me wish Nintendo would release this hypothetical thing.

For a second there I was all excited that SNES classic came out, then I realized it didn't, then I realized that even if it did, I don't actually care about it, since every device in existence can emulate it.

Yeah, those are pretty much all the highlights. great video.

though really, I think what we all would want on an SNES Classic Edition is... a USB port.

you hit my childhood right in the feels almost every one of those games I played and they were all amazing. I would gladly give Nintendo $200 for all of those games on one console.

Might be in the minority here, but if they were to make a SNES Classic Edition, I'd like to see U.N. Squadron represented.
