I think part of the problem Gus was experiencing is because HOTS is horribly optimized. It runs terribly for me on the lowest settings, and while I don't have a great machine, most other games run perfectly fine with reasonable or lower settings.

I'm 100% on board with Gus regarding episodic games. If you're going to make one, have a release schedule and make sure you can stick to it. And the gap between episodes absolutely cannot be longer than a month.
But, like Ryan said, game development doesn't work like TV, there's no way a team like Telltale can release an episode every two weeks. That would require simultaneous development of every episode in a season and a studio the size of Telltale can't support that.
When Telltale first made Season 1 of The Walking Dead (and their previous episodic games), I think the reason for an episodic game was to fund the development of later episodes.
But at this point I don't think they need to do that anymore, they could just finish an entire season and then release it in chunks or just put the entirety of the game out at once. They've just stuck to old habits and the formula that worked so well for them earlier.

I'm waiting for Game of Thrones, Life is Strange and Dreamfall: Chapters to finish before I dive back in. The gaps between episodes for all of those has been too long and I'd have to play them from the beginning anyway to remember what happened exactly. So I'm not even going to bother, and I won't pre-order another Season Pass for an episodic game.

I feel like Nintendo has had some more games than just those two. 3D World, Pikman 3, Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, and Smash were all fantastic. Those are more of their mainstream games (save for Bayonetta 2), so maybe that's just a given.

I thought during the Wii section of the show they'd have mentioned the ZombiU port to other consoles and PC. If it does well I wonder if Nintendo might consider porting some of their more popular games to get sales from people who don't necessarily want to buy a Wii just to play one game.

Is the dev team on the new site working on getting video descriptions back on here? Not a major thing, but it's always nice to have them.
