I would have to choose Mass Effect 2+3, with Dragon Age Inquisition right behind them. And Bioshock Infinite right after that.

When I joined the fandom I couldn't tell the difference between Burnie, Geoff, and Shannon's voices. Now I can easily tell Ryan and Jack apart.

My game to play before you die is Journey, though Mass Effect is a close second.

I have to agree with Adam. I started playing Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin and I'm only really getting into it now, but it's amazing. DS2 is considered the worst too so 1 and 3 must be great! SOTFS is totally worth it, it's way better than the original and the level design and story is amazing. I'm going to play the first one when I'm done, and I love every minute of the game, but whatever you do; USE A CONTROLLER!

Well, since Gus already said Mass Effect, I would say that everyone should try a Pokemon Nuzlocke run. Nuzlocke runs have been the most trying and most fulfilling gaming experiences in recent memory for me. You just become so attached to your party and it's a party that you never get to choose, which makes you appreciate them even more when you realize that a lame Pokemon was secretly awesome. And has left me with tons of stories and very memorable Pokemon. Also Journey, because it's gorgeous.

Thank you, Gus, for recommending Mass Effect to those who haven't played it, and then IMEDIATLY SPOILING THE BEGGINING OF THE SECOND GAME *sigh*

Telltale's The Walking Dead S1 and S2, the emotional effect both games have is really something for everyone to experience, in a certain ending of S2, the Kenny ending, I was actually crying a little, and I hated Kenny in both seasons, the other game I would have to recommend is Deus Ex Human Revolution, such a great game with a brilliant story, the fact that you can draw parallels between what happens in the game and what happens in our world can be used as a great way to get discussions going about how we treat one another, it can also be used as the starting point on discussions about transhumanism and how we will treat people who will be a part of the dawn of human 2.0 and how we will avoid the mistakes of the past, also I am just really excited to play mankind divided on Tuesday

I want to agree with Gus, because I've played and loved all the mass effect games excessively. But I'd have to go with Shadow of the Colossus for a game to play before you die

Mine would have to be the Elder scroll Series. All tho it is much more difficult for a newbie to get into Morrowind because of the age of the game. It is pound for pound one for the best series of all time.

Most people go with a great or memorable game, but I think everyone should play Aliens: Colonial Marines. That way, they have a bottom bar to compare everything else to.

My one game would have to be L.A Noire. Brilliant Story and has probably the best mechanic ever in its interrogation scenes. Probably the most underated Rockstar game

I agree with Adam, Dark Souls is a game that everyone should try. The story is engaging, the NPCs and enemies are memorable, and the overall design of the world creates a wonderful presence. I just wish the game was known to the wider world for more than its difficulty (the difficulty is exaggerated to an extent).

For something different, I would recommend Metal Gear Solid 3. That is an example of a realistic looking game that holds up very well (especially the HD rerelease) despite coming out in 2004.

I am with Gus, the Mass Effect series (especially Mass Effect 2) would be my game to play before you die.

Yeah, I am on my fourth ME1, fifth ME2 and second ME3 playthrough (I don't like the railroaded kill sequences that happens in ME3 combat and Kai Leng and the story is a bit rough).

I never played it, but isn't uncharted 2 considered one of the best openings to a game?

Everyone should play Dark Cloud 2! On my opinion the definitive game on the PS2 and recently remastered for the PS4!

I would say one game to try is one of the PS3's best games that didn't particularly sell well in the US: Valkyria Chronicles. It is also now available remastered on PS4 and there is also a PC port.
