Game I'd want a sequel/reboot for: Star Wars: Republic Commando, a great fps game around the same time of Halo: CE. It had a lot of unique weapons and it there is still plenty of potential source material to be used for the game.

Question for next week: If you could have a universe generator comparable in scale to No Man's Sky, what book, game, or movie universe would you want it to be based on? For example, Star Wars and Star Trek would probably be front runners for many to have a vast universe to explore to no end.

Kinda going off of what Adam said, are there any series you guys were really into that turned you off somehow?

I've been nostalgic for Product Number 03 (P.N.-03) ever since Ashley mentioned it.  Would still love to see a sequel of sorts in this new gen of gaming.  Is Bayonetta similar?  I've never played it.

Also, was wondering how your favorite genre of gaming has evolved over the years?

I would love a new Perfect Dark. Or an HD remake of it. I spent countless hours playing that game. To this day the Phoenix is my favourite gun ever in a video game. It's a pistol, that shoots lasers, which explode on impact. Does it make sense? No. But it doesn't need to, because dual-wield exploding laser guns.

Well, it's never gonna happen but i would love a Black&White 3. I have such good memories about those games. For example: People trying to build a ship and I end up drowning them all because I'M GOD, IT'S MY ISLAND AND NO ONE LEAVES. So to make sure everyone got the message I actually let one live and let him watch his friends die. No one ever tried to leave again.
But Microsoft has the development rights and EA the publishing rights or something like that so It's never gonna happen. Luckily someone released a patch a few months ago, and the first game is now playable on windows 10 in a decent resolution :)

for next weeks post show: things in videogames you think they did right, and wish other games would implement. example: FarCry you go collect flowers, and see the animation. there is a setting to get rid of the animation so that it makes  the gameplay much smoother.

A proper BloodRayne (let's forget Betrayal existed)

A proper Overlord (again, let's forget the last one existed)

...but mostly, scrap NFS and bring back Burnout.

bioshock2 is literally the best of the games, its a feel good story, you are a dad saving your daughter, a simple base plot(with some twists and turns) and good gameplay

Final Fantasy X-3 or a declaration that the audiodrama is non-canon

Final Fantasy VII-3 (Dirge of Cerberus left an unacceptable cliffhanger)

A BioWare single-player Star Wars RPG in the vein of KOTOR

Spiritual successor to I Am Setsuna

    Jade Empire

    Basically just old-school RPGs

Remakes of Marathon, Oni, and Haven: Call of the King

    Portal 3

Mirror's Edge 3/Catalyst 2 (The story of Catalyst got to where the first is, so really, the next game could be a sequel in either continuity.

I really wish there had been more games to Too Human. It had its issues, but I loved the futuristic cybernetics combined with Nordic Mythology

There was a game back on the original XBox called Advent Rising that I really wanted to see continued.  Sure it was a bit wonky on controls and suffered other technical issues but the story was interesting and it sort of left you hanging at the end.

You guys keep talking about getting back into WoW and talking about Legion and making judgements without experiencing it or researching it. Please stop. Either get back in and then talk about it, or stop talking about things without proper research being done.

I agree, pay for a month try it and review it and stop talking about what other people told u about the game. MMO's are a different experience for everyone, who knows you might even like it.

What game (or games) have you played that has left you with a lasting formative experience or lasting impact? Pretty much what's the one game that has changed your life.

This is a fantastic question. For me, it's Fallout 4 and The Walking Dead Season 1 (just the struggle you go through to save those you care about), and this is true of all types of media (the movie Interstellar and book The House of the Scorpion come to mind). I hope they answer this!

I like this question so much I feel compelled to answer it. The Mass Effect and Dragon Age games gameplay had an impact on me, but more because I'm studying game design and I like the general structure of those games. It's not really a life changing thing, but it could have an impact of my professional life.

Which game has the campaign / story mode / single player mode, that you can play over and over and over again?

    For me - Max Payne.

I really miss a series called Syphon Filter. It is a stealth action series from the PS1/2 era. Before I played Metal Gear Solid, Lian sneaking around in a hospital from Syphon Filter 2 was the quintessential stealth gameplay. I wish someone could recapture the helplessness and tension I felt in that level.

Of course, some of that is probably nostalgia. I remember a year ago I bought Syphon Filter on PSN and started playing it. I was in full nostalgia mode with all of the sounds, then the cutscene started. That game has not aged well. That was cutting edge in the 90s.

Sort of in the vein of this weeks question, have you ever played a spin-off game that you wish would evolve into a full series? I'd love it if Paradox Interactive would make a full fleshed out Europa Universalis Rome.
