What game do you want to see remastered?

For me, I want a KOTOR remaster or a Mass Effect remaster.

Have you ever had a situation in a game where one of the main characters does something so uncharacteristically dumb that it broke your immersion?

What do you guys feel is the solution to the issue with some episodic games not having a regular release schedule? Do you think it would be better for studios that produce episodic games to take a longer development cycle and release it as one full game title, effectively killing the episodic format?

For me, it was when I saved my money to get the Wii when it first came out. I waited outside a Toys R Us with my mom for a long time before it opened, and we were the last ones in the line that got a voucher for a Wii. My first game for it was The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. I remember that game being the first time I had a long gaming session of about 6 hrs straight. Before that, I had only played games for an hour or two at a time. It is the first game that I remember just being so immersed in that I just could not put it down.

You're building a squad to take on a mission to save the Galaxy. Which video game characters do you choose for your team? (Similar to Mass Effect 2's squad)

The NES & PlayStation's where I grew up.  Super Mario Bros. original & 3, Super Pitfall, Tomb Raider, Croc, Ape Escape, Legend of Legaia, and FFVIII stuck with me and looking back I see how these have fallen in line with how I define myself.  art  I still hum the melodies from these games to this day.  video_game notes

Before it was common, have y'all ever dressed as a video game character for Halloween and no one knew what you were?  ghost

    Some obvious character questions:

Who was the most beautiful/handsome character you've ever seen in a game?

Most ugly character you've seen in a game?

Most annoying?  Was there ever a game that had a character in it that was so annoying it made you quit and never finish the game?

Who was your most favorite antagonist in a game? *cough* Albert Wesker *cough*  sunglasses

There are three general categories of game.

You have power fantasies, where you are powerful and you express that through gameplay. These are your generic shooters and such.

You have empowerment fantasies, where you start weak but build to become powerful. These are your RPGs, strategy games, and such.

Finally, you have disempowerment fantasies, where the fun comes from being weak but overcoming. These are your survival horror games, true stealth games, etc.

When I was growing up the first games I spent a lot of time playing were Resident Evil (survival horror), Syphon Filter (stealth action, though leaning a bit more towards action), Castlevania Symphony of the Night (RPG), and Age of Empires (strategy). There were other games, later on, that I played more of, but those four games laid the foundation. To this day, I just do not care for most shooters. The gameplay itself doesn’t bother me, just the feeling I get playing most of shooters. I am supposed to feel like a badass, but I just kind of feel bored. I like games where I build up and/or overcome. My favorite recently invented series is the Dark Souls series.

But Dark souls doesn't fit this rule. You are weak and a few months later you are still weak you just think you're strong, you can't overcome this with gear or gizmos cause you will get stomped either way.
Dark Souls fit's only in one category: masochistic games.

      Yes, i'm trolling

First formative game for me: Tie Fighter. That was when I became a full on gamer. I had played for years before that, tried gaming a bit on Commodore 64 and Commodore Amiga as well as Arcade games, but I was never entirely sold. I never wanted to spend so much time just on gaming until I hit Tie Fighter. That was it for me. For years after I played PC games until around 2004 and then it dropped off massively and I barely played or used a PC outside of work until the release of Mass Effect 2 and somehow that drew me back in and I have been steadily gaming every week for some hours ever since. It is much less obsessive now than when I was young, but I still spend money on PC games and enjoy them (I never got around to learning how to use a controller and now I can't be bothered).

What one game that you loved that you will absolutely will not play again simply because you can't stand the old graphics? (Please rephrase that so it reads smoother)

Knights of the Old Republic 2. My first real game that I owned. The story is so layered it takes about 3 playthroughs to fully understand, and the atmosphere... Oh God the atmosphere.

Halo. RvB got me into Halo, Halo got me into Machinima, Machinima got me into filmmaking.

Journey. Just... Anyone who plays it knows.

    Mass Effect. Same.
