You should really check out the Westworld Website! There are a lot of answers on how the park works. For example, you asked why the hosts get hurt but the newcomers dont. On the website it explains that there is a mechanism in all the weapons that slows down the bullet, so when it hits a newcomer it just feels like being hit with a paint ball. As for the hosts, my theory is that they have a "skin" that is not as durable as ours, so these "bullets" do the damage that a real bullet would do to an actual person. You also learn a little bit on how the park works, like how the longest trip you can take in the park (i believe) is 28 days. Go check out the website!!!

I started out loving the show, but then under an episode summary I've accidentally found some fan theories about how some scenes of the show can be happening 30 or more years apart, and it immediately made me like the series less.

So... I'm going to carry on watching and I just hope that this stupid theory is not true.

I should probably also mention this - I was a huge fan of Person Of Interest and I wish that show could have had a full 5th season and maybe a bigger budget. It was the ultimate IT-geek show with great action scenes!

I'm so glad you talked about the importance of endings, I feel like too many franchises aren't allowed to end these days. Like we get taught as kids, a story has three parts: beginning, middle, end. Take out the end, it's no longer a story, just a series of events. It's such a vital part of narrative structure I almost always prefer a well paced shorter story with a well written ending over a long drawn out one. Which leads me to wonder when RvB will have it's final season...

Umm... Lutsross maybe you should brush up on the source material, It was a movie from the 70s made by Michael Chriton(sp?) and there is a book but it is a based off the film. There was a sequel and a older tv series which were made by completely different people so we don't know if it will factor into this modern version of the show. But if you didn't already realize this new show has already gone WAY off base from the original, it makes its references but nothing from the original is set in stone. People like you need to calm down and realize just because you know the "source material" doesn't make you an expert on a new version of it, you know just about the same as anyone else at the moment(except for people who worked on the show or somehow have seen the whole season)

I am okay with you guys talking about shows like Westworld and GoT but please understand the source material. It annoyed me so much that Kdin didn't understand that the movie Westworld (and book) talks about what happens when everything goes wrong. Even the show is about this except it takes the POV of the androids instead of a single human. Other than that, great post show.
