    Dear Ashley,

Please mention Xenoblade Chronicles at some point. You've mentioned several times that FF XV's combat system doesn't meet your aspirations for it, but that it would be difficult any high action game like that to accomplish the cooperation you're hoping for. I think Xenoblade Chronicles is an excellent example of exactly the type of combat system you want in a real-time game. And if you've never played it, I believe it was remastered for the 3DS recently, and I would highly recommend that you look into it. I really think you'll enjoy it personally, atop enjoying the combat mechanics.

What is something from previous decades that video games have gone away from that you'd like to see again?

Is there a game genre/game series that you absolutely loved but you're disappointed doesn't do well?

As an example (slightly selfish of me), I'm disappointed that Ace Attorney doesn't do that well outside of Japan as it means Capcom only make digital downloads of the game available to the rest of the world or they just don't bother localizing some of the games.

Every single mechanic in service to the story? Sounds like The Last of Us to me. The brutal combat, tense stealth, scarce resources and near silent exploration all tied the game together for me.

While it is true that innovation is important, if you try to do to much to quickly you end up replacing things that work with things that don't. Look at Assassin's Creed Unity. At least half the gameplay mechanics in that game were just bad and the half that were didn't mesh well with the game or even each other.
