IMO brothers didn't tell a great story, I didn't get the whole "that is your father that is sick" until after the point where you get to the doctor... at first I thought you were just assistants to the doctor or something of that sort. Also, everyone in the game are assholes, I couldn't like a single character including the two brothers because practically everyone does mean things in the village. After that the trolls were kinda nice but never returned, the guy who wanted to commit suicide I was sorry for but he was around for like a minute of gameplay. Then the one character I actually decided to care about was the bird that was locked up and really haggard and you set him free; only to have him fly to a cliff and die immediately...

I got the last achievement and stopped playing because I just didn't care about the story any more.

Played this on release, when the credits rolled at the end I just sat dumbfounded for about 20 minutes. Excellent game, well worth it IMO.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, Spec Ops: The Line. It's a pretty generic third-person cover shooter with a very important story.

I recommend that you guys do Dragon Age Origins, or Jade Empire. Both wonderful games by Bioware.

I would love for you guys to play Bastion! One of my favorite Xbox arcade games!

Since you guys seem to be playing all my old favorite XBL Arcade games, perhaps you'd like some of the rest of them. How about ilomilo, From Dust, Contrast, Fez, Quantum Conundrum, or Dead Rising 2: Case Zero? I think the last two are from big studios, but the first three are smaller (and everyone knows about Fez).

the owlgriff was their take on a griffin (which is half lion/half eagle) there are a few variations that have different birds of prey such as an owl, a hawk, an osprey.... and yes, it was the same griffin that you rescued (at least that is what the written articles said about it)

that being said, i thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay (got it for free on xbox360 gold member). i managed to get all 12 achievements for it. i missed the bird one first, and later managed to get it through the redo chapters thing. and when you save it, you can continue another chapter and get it...

It might be difficult for the Patch players to understand, and difficult to get an account, but Kantai Collection anyone?
Strategic naval warfare with famous warships?

You should add Presentable Liberty/Exoptable Money to the selection. They're companion games, and both are very short, but there's a lot thematically to talk about! smiley0.gif

So, they have already mentioned Mass Effect in the Game Club. I really want to see them do an episode on it. As a huge fan of the trilogy I know that a week is not enough to truly be indoctrinated (pun intended), but none the less I would love to hear their thoughts as a combination of previous experiences and the Game Club weekly play-through. Make it happen, RT! :D

Delighted you'll be doing Child of Light - great game, and the first one I've ever got full gamerscore for! Looking forward to seeing what you make of it! Loving this segment of the Patch!

Gotta say, I'm actually really enjoying this segment. You guys should absolutely add Nine Persons Nine Hours Nine Doors and Dangan Ronpa to the Golden Cylinder. I'd also be interested to see you do Sunless Sea (although it's probably a bit too slow to do in a week) and Neighbourhood Necromancer.

I have two suggestions, and ryan must play them if they are picked. The first is 999 (found in the DS but can probably also be found on PC), and the second is Catherine (found on xbox 360, not sure about playstation, but it should also be able to be found on PC as well).

I have a gem of an indie game called Banner Saga for the cylinder of selection. It a story driven that kind of feels like a dungeons and dragons tabletop.

I really want to get into The Patch Game Club, but I need to be able to see a video of the gameplay. By that I mean something like the livestream for Limbo that Burnie played or the Katawa Shoujo with Ashley. I don't have to watch it live, but I know I won't be buying a game just because it will be talked about on this show due to lack of money and time. I really just need to be able to see the game and form some kind of opinion before watching this show so I can feel invested in watching. I'd prefer that the video is made by someone who will be on that particular episode of Game Club; doesn't have to be the entire game. There's some kind of connection that adds value here, whatever it is.

And I'm saying all of that as someone who would like to hear about the Brothers game, but ended up not watching since I wasn't invested enough, if that makes sense.

If I can make a suggestion here to help fill the Cylinder of Cylection then I would say Papo & Yo another indie game that won't take too long to complete.

I'm glad these are finally being posted on the site. It was kind of annoying to watch the patch here then have to switch to Youtube for the gaming/book club
