I had never heard of this game before, but I checked it out and it's pretty incredible for what it has to work with. The graphics are all dirty rags and smeared watercolour, the voice acting sounds like it's from across the room, and it is still so compelling! The soundtrack is really the selling point. The game opens with her getting her arm chopped off while reaching for a button, Indiana Jones style, which should make me want to throw up, but a kickin' rock theme burst in and it was awesome. The low piano notes and punch-zoom in are cheap tricks that I haven't seen in a while, and for some reason I loved it. The story is neat, the characters interesting, and the subject matter well represented. Thank you Patch Game Club for introducing us.

I did hear about that ARG before, so you're not crazy. I just never looked into it much myself, so I don't know anything about it. Sorry, no depth to my corroboration. :(

It will be funny when the world discovers its first game developer serial killer. A barrel of decomposing laughs.

The Cat Lady does deal with some disturbing and hard-to-stomach topics, but it doesn't revel in it the way some other horror titles do, which is a marked change.
I'm not even going to touch the prequel.
